First Look - Raleigh, NC
What’s a First Look? Raleigh, NC.
In recent years, a “first look” has become the newest trend in weddings. But what exactly is it? And how popular is this new tradition?
A "first look" is when a bride and groom plan a special moment before the ceremony to reveal their wedding day looks, instead of waiting to see each other at the ceremony. This allows you the chance to share a private moment with your fiancé and take some great photos, too!
There are a lot of fun options on how to do this. Some brides walk up to their soon-to-be husbands and tap them on the shoulder to turn around. Others stand back-to-back with their groom and turn around at the same time. And some plan over-the-top reveals such as coming down a grand staircase, stepping out of an elevator and even, letting go of a collection of balloons.
A first look also gives you a chance to take all of your bridal party photos before the ceremony. This saves time after the ceremony and gets everyone to the party sooner!
But if you’re a traditionalist and couldn’t possibly imagine seeing your fiancé before the ceremony, you can also plan a first look moment for your bridesmaids or your dad! Don’t worry – there are plenty of people anxiously awaiting your wedding day look! - Raleigh, NC.
